Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my scout have to sell popcorn?

To keep yearly dues low (yearly dues account for 1/3 the cost to run the pack).

What is my cub's sales goal?

$225

What if we choose not to sell popcorn?

We ask you to pay $75 which is the actual dollar amount our pack would receive from $225 in sales

When do sales end?

At the October pack meeting on October 18th.

What are the prizes?

- In addition to the Trail's End prizes (see insert), every boy that meets his sales goal will receive an invitation to party at Bass Pro Shop, the top seller in each den will receive a gift card (to where is a surprise). The top seller overall will receive a gift card to the Bass Pro Shop. Also, at a den meeting between the September and October pack meeting, the scout with the highest sales in his den will receive a $5 gift card to Sonic.

When do we collect money?

At the point of sale.

Who do we make the checks out to?

BSA Pack 69

What about online sales?

They are a great way to generate sales to family far away. They do have their own prize structure and are not combined with your cub's door-to-door sales for prizes, but will count towards the $225 sales goal.

What if someone wants to make a donation to the pack instead?

Fantastic - That too will count toward your cub's sales goal - although will not be counted toward prizes.

How much of the sale does our pack receive?

We receive approximately 1/3 of sales.
